1. Purpose of Topping

The growth of potted pomegranate trees needs proper control, otherwise the crown will be too large and the roots will not absorb enough water and nutrients, which will cause them to wither and die. Therefore, it is necessary to limit its height by topping it to ensure that its nutrient supply will not be particularly difficult.

2. Topping time

There is no specific time for topping a potted pomegranate tree, and it is generally done according to the height of the plant. When the main trunk grows to 15 cm, the top buds should be removed to promote the growth of side branches. When the side branches grow to 6 cm, they should be topped to control their size. If the flowerpot is larger and the space is more spacious, you can let it grow taller and wider.

3. Subsequent pruning

Topping is to control the shape of the plant so that its branches grow more dispersedly and can better receive light and ventilation.
