How to grow Sasa no Yuki and what to pay attention to

1. Lighting

It is quite delicate in terms of light and cannot be exposed to direct sunlight nor can it be deprived of light for a long time. Therefore, it is best to place it in a semi-shaded place for normal maintenance, especially in the summer when it cannot be exposed to strong light. However, it can be exposed to direct light in the winter when the light is gentle.

2. Watering

It is a succulent plant that is drought-tolerant but not water-tolerant. During maintenance and management, do not water too frequently, and the soil in the pot does not need to be too moist. Usually, watering once a week is enough. Keep it slightly moist. Water accumulation is strictly prohibited, otherwise it will directly lead to root rot.

3. Fertilization

You don't need to apply too much fertilizer during normal maintenance, and it can grow normally even without applying any fertilizer. However, it is best to apply liquid fertilizer once a month during the growing season to make it grow stronger. But be careful to use low concentrations of fertilizer to avoid burning the roots.

4. Soil

It likes to grow in soil with good air permeability and humus. You can prepare it yourself when cultivating it. Use six parts of leaf mold, add two parts of lime and coarse sand and mix them. This will meet its growth needs.

5. Notes

During maintenance, remember to change the pot and soil once a year, preferably in spring, to ensure sufficient nutrients and promote growth. Be careful not to damage its roots when repotting, otherwise it will affect its recovery and growth.
