Planting methods and precautions for potted plum blossoms

Planting methods and precautions for potted plum blossoms

Potted plum blossoms are generally smaller, and the plants do not have high requirements for soil. They can be prepared with peat soil, garden soil, fine sand, etc. The plants are sensitive to water and need to be watered according to the season.

Growth habits of potted plum blossoms

Potted plum blossoms prefer a warm and humid climate. The plant is not very cold-resistant and can generally only withstand temperatures around -10°C. It is also drought-resistant, high-temperature-resistant and has a long lifespan.

How to plant plum blossoms in pots

1. Prepare the soil

The soil for planting potted plum blossoms is the key. It is best to use soil that is air-permeable, loose and fertile. You can use Sichuan sand soil, garden soil, leaf mold, base fertilizer, etc. to prepare it. Before planting in the pot, you should also lay a layer of small gravel on the bottom of the pot.

2. Seedling treatment

After transplanting the seedlings, the tree roots need to be pruned, and the diseased and overlong roots need to be cut off. Then they need to be disinfected. Make sure the knives used are disinfected.

3. Planting in pots

Finally, place the treated seedlings in the soil, fill and compact the soil, observe the dryness and wetness of the soil, and add appropriate amount of water.

Precautions for potted plum cultivation

When the potted plum blossoms are just planted, they need to be placed in a cool and ventilated environment to slow down the growth. During this period, pay attention to controlling watering and keeping the soil slightly moist. If properly maintained, they will be able to adapt in about 10 days, and then the light conditions can be appropriately increased.
