Planting method and time of seaweed head: when is the best time to plant

Planting time of seaweed

Nori is a common vegetable. It can be grown and transplanted all year round, but if you want to get high yields, it is best to sow it between September and March of the following year .

Planting methods and key points of seaweed

1. Seedbed

The best place to plant seaweed is to choose a loose, fertile plot with convenient drainage and irrigation. After deep plowing, the land should be prepared and made into ridges with a width of about 1-1.2 meters. There should also be rain and sun protection equipment on the seedbed, and an appropriate amount of high-quality farmyard manure should be added to the soil as base fertilizer.

2. Sowing

Seaweed can be sown by dry sowing, making furrows 8-10 cm apart in the bed. Then sow the seeds in them, cover them with soil about 1.5 cm, and then harrow and press them down, or soak the seeds for about two hours before sowing.

Key points for seaweed management

After planting the seaweed, the ambient temperature should be kept at around 15-20℃. Watering should be done when the soil is dry and then wet. Watering should be done when the soil is relatively dry. Thinning can be done when the plant has 1-2 true leaves, and transplanting and planting can be done when the plant has 6 true leaves.
