It is better to water aloe vera every few days

How often should I water aloe vera?

It is generally more appropriate to water aloe vera every 7-10 days. Aloe vera is relatively drought-resistant and does not require much water. The climate in different seasons is different, so the frequency of watering is also different. In spring and autumn, it grows vigorously and evaporates quickly, so it can be watered about every 7 days. In summer, when the temperature is higher, water it every 3-5 days. In winter, when the temperature is low, water it every 10-15 days.

How to water aloe vera

1. The temperature in spring is mostly between 15-25℃, and the water evaporates relatively quickly at this time, so you can water it every 5-7 days. The soil will dry out quickly in summer, so you can water it a little more often, usually once every 2-3 days. If the air is dry, you need to spray water appropriately.

2. Do not water too much in the fall. Usually, you should add water every 4-6 days to keep the soil slightly moist. Since the temperature difference between the north and the south in winter is very large, just keep the soil slightly dry or slightly moist. Generally, you should water once every 15-20 days.

3. It is best to water the aloe vera according to the weather and the humidity of the potting soil. That is to say, you should water it more on sunny days and less on cloudy or rainy days. Also, you can water it when the soil is dry, but you don't need to water it if it is still moist.

Aloe Vera Watering Precautions

1. When caring for aloe vera, you will see a lot of dust or dirt on the leaves of the plant, so when watering, you will directly pour clean water on the aloe leaves. This will cause water to accumulate in the core of the aloe leaves, especially in the hot summer. Aloe vera is prone to root rot and lodging. Generally, water is poured directly into the soil of the flowerpot, not on the leaves.

2. When caring for aloe vera in the summer, you need to move it to a well-ventilated place with diffused light, avoiding direct sunlight. When watering, try to choose the cool early morning or afternoon. Watering at noon will easily cause root rot.

3. If you want to use domestic wastewater to water aloe vera, you must compost it in advance, then add clean water and water it into the aloe vera pot, which can replenish water and fertilizer.
