How to save seeds of honeydew melon

How to keep the seeds of honeysuckle

When we eat honeydew melon, we will find that it has a lot of seeds inside. If we want to grow honeydew melon at home, we can take out these seeds, put them in a well-lit place to dry, and then put them in a bag after they are dried.

Preservation of honeysuckle seeds

The seeds of honeysuckle can be placed in a low-temperature, dry and ventilated environment or stored in the refrigerator. Honeysuckle is generally planted around April each year. Choose fertile sandy land as the planting environment and keep the soil moist.

Planting of honeysuckle seeds

1. The suitable growth temperature of honeydew melon is 25-30 degrees. If the temperature is lower than 10 degrees, the growth will be inhibited. Generally, the greenhouse temperature can be maintained above 15 degrees for transplanting. Seedlings can be raised in January, transplanted in February, and harvested in April.

2. Honeydew melon is suitable for planting in loose, fertile, well-drained soil. The soil needs to be disinfected. Choose disease-free, plump honeydew melon seeds, mix them with carbendazim, sow them in the soil, cover them with 3 cm of soil, the row spacing is about 1 meter, the plant spacing is about 3 cm, and then cover them with a layer of plastic film.

3. During the growth period of the honey melon, you can top and pinch the leaves. When the main vine grows to 30 leaves, pinch it again. This can promote the growth of the honey melon and also inhibit the growth of the main vine. After the seedlings emerge from the soil, you can water them once. At the same time, water them when the soil is dry and wet. During the vigorous growth period, you can apply compound fertilizer.
