Apricot tree growth environment conditions and characteristics

Apricot tree growth environment conditions and requirements

Apricot trees are native to my country and are mostly cultivated in North China and Northwest China. They prefer a warm, humid, well-lit growing environment. They are highly adaptable to the environment and are resistant to cold, drought, and barrenness.

Apricot tree growth temperature

Apricot trees do not have strict requirements for temperature, and the most suitable growth temperature is around 20°C. The plant has good cold and heat resistance, and can withstand extreme low temperatures of around -40°C, but its flower buds can only withstand temperatures as low as -2°C.

Apricot tree growth humidity

Apricot trees prefer a humid growing environment. The air humidity should be between 70% and 80% during the flowering period. The plant has good drought resistance and does not need to be watered too frequently, relying on rainwater for replenishment.

Apricot tree growing soil

Apricot trees have relatively high requirements for soil. It is best to choose fertile, loose, well-drained sandy loam for planting, and the pH value should be between 6.5-7.5.

Apricot tree growth cycle and process

It takes 3-4 years for apricot trees to grow from planting to harvesting. When the plant is a sapling, its branches and leaves will continue to grow. With proper maintenance, it will soon bloom and bear fruit. During this period, it is necessary to provide water and prune according to the growth of the plant.
