How to grow yew in autumn

How to grow yew in autumn

1. Repotting

Because yew grows very vigorously, nutrients in the soil are consumed quickly and space is easily insufficient. Therefore, you need to change the soil in the pot regularly. Repotting can be done in autumn. When repotting, you need to choose a suitable pot according to the volume, and try to use soil that is breathable, loose, water-permeable and has good fertilizer retention properties, which will be more conducive to its growth.

2. Reasonable watering

In autumn, the yew will continue to grow, so keep watering it. However, it does not require as much water as in summer. Therefore, based on these characteristics, the watering interval is about three or four days. However, at the end of autumn, when the temperature slowly begins to drop, the amount of watering must also be gradually reduced.

3. Use fertilizer appropriately

The right amount of fertilizer can promote its growth in autumn. When repotting, you can add some base fertilizer into the soil. In addition to these, you can also use some cake fertilizer water to water the plants to supplement them with nutrients.

4. Suitable light

Good light is helpful for the growth of yew, but the light should not be too strong. There is generally no particularly strong light in autumn, so if there is, provide appropriate shade.

5. Prevention and control of pests and diseases

In autumn, there are some diseases, pests and insects such as "white rot" and "aphids" that need to be prevented in time. After discovery, the infected area should be dealt with promptly and sprayed with pesticides for control.
