During the growing period of asparagus fern, compound fertilizer should be applied 1 to 2 times to achieve the purpose of promoting lush branches and leaves. Fertilizer can be added once during its flowering period to increase its fruit setting rate. When applying other fertilizers, it is best to choose fermented and retting organic fertilizers. You can make them yourself using cake fertilizer, sesame paste residue, etc. The best time to apply fertilizer is about once a week in spring and autumn, and once every 15 to 20 days in winter. Stop fertilizing during the high temperatures in summer.

2. Precautions

Do not apply too much fertilizer during the flowering period of asparagus fern. Just add liquid fertilizer twice in May to June and September to October respectively. When fertilizing it, it is best to apply small amounts frequently. Never apply concentrated fertilizer, otherwise it will cause the branches and leaves to turn yellow, or the asparagus fern to grow wildly.
