How to root Jade Dew

How to root Jade Dew

1. Humidity

Because root growth requires water, but too much is not good, because overwatering can easily cause it to rot, so we need to wait until the roots have grown before watering. Because this is safer, it is also a better method for people who are not very skilled. Moreover, the humidity may be different in different places, so you still need to be flexible when watering it and find a better time.

2. Temperature

Temperature has a great impact on it. Summer is not a suitable season for it. It is generally easy to take root in autumn and spring because the temperature in spring and autumn is relatively moderate and quite cool.

3. Lighting

The light needs to be controlled. Generally speaking, light has an inhibitory effect on it, so it is better to place it on a north-facing balcony or in a place without direct sunlight.

4. Breathable

We need to know that a more breathable environment is quite good for it, but hard hair roots will be affected. Generally speaking, vermiculite sand and perlite are good choices.

5. Hormones

Because the plant hormones have a relatively large impact on it, under relatively natural conditions, it will still secrete hormones on its own, and then it will take root when the amount of hormones is relatively large.

Using rooting powder is also a very good choice, because it can reduce the consumption of substances when the plant produces its own hormones, so that roots will grow earlier.

However, there are still some disadvantages to applying rooting powder, because there may be very strong roots at the base, or buttress roots, or several roots together, and it may not develop well, and it is also possible to become necrotic.

6. Old roots

There cannot be any old roots at its roots, otherwise it will affect the new roots. If there is, it is recommended to use a knife to cut it off layer by layer until there is only white tissue on it and no brown.
