How to save the green radish at home when it turns yellow?

The most common problem encountered by friends who grow green radish is the yellowing of its leaves. The originally green and juicy leaves have turned yellow and curled, which is really a headache. Today Huahua will summarize several situations of yellowing leaves of green radish, so as to identify the problem and prescribe the right remedy!

The first yellowing situation:

The branches and leaves at the top of the green radish plant are thick, growing vigorously, and the leaves are very green, but there are a few scattered yellow leaves near the roots of the plant.

Solution:

Flower lovers who encounter this situation do not need to worry. This is a normal phenomenon. It is the natural yellowing of the green radish during its growth and metabolism process. Just pick off the yellow leaves.

The second yellowing situation:

The whole plant of the green radish appears dull and lifeless, the edges or tips of the leaves turn black, and in severe cases, they rot, turn yellow and gradually fall off.

Solution:

This yellowing phenomenon occurs because of too much and too frequent watering. The green ivy is very afraid of sudden water, and this will happen if it is watered too quickly. Place the green radish in a ventilated place to allow excess moisture to evaporate as quickly as possible and dry the soil in the pot.

The third yellowing situation:

The whole plant of the green radish appears to be wilted, the leaves are drooping, and the edges are becoming dry, looking very lifeless.

Solution:

The reason why the green radish turns yellow is that it has not been watered for a long time and the plant is short of water. If this happens, water slowly, don't rush, and wait until the branches and leaves are stretched out before watering normally.

The fourth yellowing situation:

The edges of the leaves of the green radish become dry and yellow, and in severe cases yellow spots may grow, and the entire plant becomes withered and yellow.

Solution:

The yellowing of the leaves of the green radish is caused by overexposure to the sun. Move the green radish to a semi-shaded place quickly. Only in winter can the green radish be placed in the sun, and it should be properly shaded in other seasons.

The secret to making the green radish green!

The green radish at home is growing well and has not turned yellow, but the leaves are not dark green enough. What can I do? Don’t worry, Huahua will teach you some secrets to become green!

1. To make the green radish green, just rub it!

Look around your house to see if you have any expired beer, even leftovers. Open the beer and let it sit for 3 or 4 days to allow the alcohol to evaporate. Then dilute it with water in a ratio of 1:50 and use a clean cloth to wipe the leaves.

This method can not only wipe off the dust on the leaves of the green radish, but also provide it with nutrients, acting as foliar fertilizer and making the green radish green and lush. It only needs to be wiped once every 2 or 3 weeks.

2. Water the green radish to make it turn green!

If you want your green radish to grow vigorously, fertilizing is essential. Only when the nutrient supply is sufficient can the plant's growth metabolism be accelerated and the leaves become dark green and shiny.

When the temperature is higher than 18℃, you can consider fertilizing the green radish. Fertilizer can be rice water or compound fertilizer. Generally, it is sufficient to use it once every 2 or 3 weeks. Don't use too much.

3. Move the green radish to another place when it turns green!

If your green radish is sick and listless, and watering, fertilizing and wiping the leaves don't work, you can consider moving it to another place and planting it in a fish tank.

In this way, you don't have to worry about watering properly, and it can provide natural nutrients for the growth of the green ivy. The water in the fish tank contains fish excrement and has a high nitrogen content, which can promote its growth after being absorbed by the green ivy.
