How to propagate keel flower

How to propagate keel flower

1. Operation method

1. Pruning. First, cut the branches 5-6cm from the top of the mother plant. This is the raw material for the new plant. The dragon bone has a lot of juice. The cut branches can be wrapped with the ash from burning grass. To make it easier for it to grow roots, dry it thoroughly and place it in a ventilated area for about seven days. If you can't wait, you can cut the branches and plant them directly in the soil, and there is a certain chance that they will survive.

2. Cuttings. You can choose to insert only one branch or multiple branches. Just insert it into the soil. Remember to water it after inserting it into the soil. Don't water it too much. Just water the cut area of the branch, and then place it in a cool area. When the moisture starts to decrease after about seven days, you can give it a little water. The soil should be dry rather than too wet, otherwise the cut area will easily rot. During the rooting process, control the moisture and wait for one to one and a half months for the plant to take root.

3. Fertilization. During its growth period, in order to increase its chances of survival, you can fertilize it once a month. You can also mix fertilizer by yourself, crush or soak the beans and put them in the soil. Don't put too much fertilizer, otherwise the roots will be easily damaged.

2. Precautions

1. Soil. Unfortunately, the death rate of this flower is not very high. It can survive even in very ordinary soil. You can look for more nutritious sandy soil.

2. Light. The suitable temperature for its growth is 25 to 35 degrees Celsius. If it is winter and the weather is below 7 degrees Celsius, it will be easily injured. If it is summer and the temperature is above 35 degrees Celsius, protective measures should also be taken. Don't leave it in the sun all day, as the plant will easily turn yellow and affect its appearance.

3. Watering. It is very drought-resistant and likes warmth. If it is summer, water it once every 5 days. If it is winter, it will stop growing, and even watering it once every 1 to 2 months will not affect it.
