Cultivation method of water lily

Cultivation method of water lily

1. Planting in a jar

Choice of container: It is best to choose flower pots without bottom holes that are about 50 cm in height and as large in diameter as possible.

Choice of substrate: Choose nutrient soil, mix them evenly and put them into the tank. The depth of the soil should be controlled at about 30 to 40 centimeters, so that it is easier to store water.

Planting method: bury the plants in good condition in the center of the tank, and control the depth so that the top buds of the plants are slightly exposed from the soil.

Post-processing: After planting, we need to add some water, but don’t fill it up. Two to three centimeters above the soil is appropriate. Doing so will help raise the temperature and improve its survival rate. As it grows slowly, you can gradually add water.

2. Potted plants

Choosing a container: A nutrient pot without holes is better, with a height of about 30 cm and a diameter of about 40 cm.

Specific method: The selection of substrate and planting method are similar to the first one, and the soil filling height is 25 cm. After planting, we need to sink it into the pool and control the water level just above the nutrient pot. Likewise, as it grows, the water level can be gradually increased.

3. Pond

If you want to plant it in a pond, you have to choose a pond with fertile bottom soil, and the bottom soil must be at least thirty centimeters. The propagule can be planted directly in the soil. At the beginning, the water level must be shallow, about two to three centimeters. This is conducive to raising the temperature and promoting plant development. Of course, as the plants grow, the water level must also be raised. In addition, we need to carry out pre-winter treatment according to the actual conditions in different regions, so that the roots and stems can overwinter under the ice.
