Propagation by seeds

The seed propagation of Platycodon grandiflorum is generally carried out by direct sowing, and you can choose to sow in winter or spring, but it is better to sow in winter, and the sowing method is generally adopted.
When sowing, mix the seeds with moist fine sand. The ratio is usually 0.3 grams of seeds per pot of soil. Then spread the mixed seeds and soil on the bed surface, sweep it with a broom. If the seeds are not visible, just shake them slightly and they will sprout in the spring of the following year.
Sowing in spring is more complicated, and seeds must be processed. Soak the seeds in 30°C warm water, take them out after eight hours, wrap them in a wet cloth, place them in a place with a temperature of 25°C-30°C, and cover them with wet linen to promote germination.
