How to plant avocado seeds, avocado pictures

1. Seed processing

When planting, take seeds from mature avocados, wash the seeds in clean water, and wash off the juice and pulp. With the pointed end of the seed facing upwards, insert a toothpick into the middle and place in clean water, just halfway submerged. In the later stage, change the water every two days. It will germinate and take root in about two or three weeks.

2. Soil Preparation

It likes deep soil with good drainage. When planting, you can mix it with humus, garden soil, rotten leaf soil and river sand, and then add an appropriate amount of farmyard manure, so that there is sufficient nutrients and it is more conducive to later growth.

3. Planting in the soil

Once prepared, it can be planted. Place the germination-treated seedlings into the soil one by one. Note that the plant spacing should be controlled between 15-20 cm, and the toothpicks should be removed. Don't plant it too deep in the soil, about one-third of the seed will be enough. Water it thoroughly in time in the later stage and place it in a ventilated and well-lit place.

4. Post-management

It is a tropical fruit that prefers high temperature and high humidity environment. Therefore, water in time and keep the soil moist, but don't overdo it. During the rainy season, drainage should be carried out to avoid water accumulation. In winter, when the temperatures are low, you must also take anti-freeze measures to avoid frostbite. In addition, fertilizers should be applied regularly during the growing season, with nitrogen fertilizers being the main fertilizer used in the initial stage.
