Why does asparagus fern turn yellow?

Why does asparagus fern turn yellow?

1. Causes

1. Improper use of water will cause its leaves to wilt and turn yellow, because too much water will directly block the plant's root system from absorbing nutrients, thereby slowing down its entire growth. In severe cases, the plant's leaves will turn yellow and eventually die.

2. If less fertilizer is used during the rapid growth period, it will cause malnutrition. The branches and leaves of the entire plant will not have sufficient nutrients, which will cause the growth to wilt. Applying too much fertilizer will cause poor plant growth, directly damage the roots and prevent root absorption.

3. When the sunlight is strong, the plant is not moved to a dark, cool place for maintenance in time, causing the leaves to be stimulated by direct sunlight, resulting in dry tips and burnt edges.

4. Temperatures that are too low or too high are not conducive to its growth, especially it should be kept away from dusty places to prevent the leaves from being contaminated and turning yellow.

2. Solution

1. Cut off its yellow leaves with sharp and clean scissors in time, then water it and place it in a cool place for maintenance. It will gradually recover after a period of maintenance.

2. It needs to be replenished with nutrients every 7 to 10 days to meet its growth needs. Change the flower pots and soil every two years to prevent the soil from clumping and deteriorating.

3. It grows better between 13 and 27 degrees. Keeping this temperature, its leaves will gradually grow green.
