Phoenix

The Phoenix is also called the Fallen Root Plant. A few years ago, Huahua planted one as a succulent, but it got out of control. I don’t know how it fell to the ground and grew into a large patch!

In addition to the common broad-leaved bird of paradise, Huahua has also seen many flower lovers raising the stick-leaved bird of paradise below. It is very beautiful, but when Huahua sees the densely packed small buds, she gets scared!

Reproduction and maintenance:

The phoenix grows small buds on the edges of leaves. The small buds will grow aerial roots themselves and take root and survive after falling. The gaps between the floor tiles in the picture below are full of phoenix chicks!

There is nothing special to pay attention to when raising a bird of paradise. Just don’t expose it to strong sunlight in the summer. The more you ignore it, the more it will grow. Flower lovers who are worried about this, Huahua advises you not to throw it away randomly, otherwise it will spread to a large area and be like an invasive species!

Chlorophytum

Chlorophytum is one of those flowers that grows explosively. Just look at the Chlorophytum comosum grown by my flower lover @花狂圣. He has grown from one plant into a whole patch of it, filling up a corner of his house!

Reproduction and maintenance:

It is easy to keep spider plants alive, but difficult to grow them to a large number. The secret of this flower lover is to make homemade fertilizers. Look at the bottles and jars in his house, they are all homemade fruit peel fertilizers and rice water fertilizers. After they are fermented, they are diluted with water and watered twice a month. Spray water on the leaves of the spider plants more often.

Wait until the spider plant sprouts little babies and grows aerial roots, cut them off and plant them in a sandy soil box, spray them with water to keep them moist and to help the roots take root. After half a month when the seedlings have grown steadily, transplant them into pots.

Aloe Vera

Flower lover @草马狂魔1 picked up an aloe vera plant that was overflowing in the community. It was obvious that the owner "disliked" it because the plant was so horrible that it was thrown out and no one cared about it, so it turned red and was about to die.

After removing the broken pot, it was found to be full of roots and very little soil. It shows that the aloe vera has a strong desire to survive! Huahua judged with the naked eye that it might be Aloe vera. If she removed the dead leaves and left the green part to dry, it could still survive!

Reproduction and maintenance:

The soil for planting aloe vera should not be too hard. Sandy soil is best, which is conducive to the growth of buds. Spring, summer and autumn are the growing seasons of aloe vera. At this time, control the water, wait until the soil is dry, and then water it thoroughly to stimulate budding.

Aloe vera is recognized as a lazy flower. It should be exposed to more sunlight and be careful not to water it too frequently, otherwise it will grow tall and thin. You can water it with some fermented rice water and soybean water to ensure that it will be plump!

Descendants Ball

The offspring ball is a cactus that grows by meristem. Unlike the traditional single cactus, which grows slowly, the offspring ball can produce small balls continuously. People with trypophobia should be careful when raising it!

Reproduction and maintenance:

You can cut off the small ball of the offspring ball, apply some carbendazim on the cut, then dry it in a cool place, plant it directly in the soil, give it less water, and keep it ventilated, and it will survive~

The cactus ball is a cactus, so you can't pour water on the ball when watering, it will easily rot. Use a long-mouthed pot to water it in the pot. Usually, it should be exposed to the sun to prevent it from growing too long.

Chlorophytum comosum

The Chlorophytum comosum, which can survive by pinching its branches, will burst out of the pot without any ambiguity. You can even not see the pot anymore, and it can even grow into a waterfall!

Reproduction and maintenance:

Cut a few branches of phalaenopsis, with or without flowers, stick them in moist and breathable soil, and keep them in a cool place. If they are still growing well after 3 days, it means there is hope. Occasionally spray them with water to keep them moist, and they will take root in less than ten days.

Don't water too frequently. It's better to spray water on the leaves more often. The leaves will be greener in sufficient sunlight. Pruning 2 months before flowering and pruning after flowering are essential.

Impatiens

There is always a dense patch of Impatiens in front of and behind the house in my hometown. It has an amazing reproductive ability. Once the pods burst open, the seeds immediately fall to the ground, and there will be a larger patch next year!

Reproduction and maintenance:

Once the flowers of Impatiens have faded, you can collect its seed pods, put them in a plastic bag and place them in a dry place at home. In April or May of the following year, just scatter the seeds in the soil and water them to germinate.

Impatiens likes cool places. Avoid direct sunlight in summer and keep the pot soil slightly moist. It is best to use leaf mold at home. Good nutrition can grow plump Impatiens.

Coinweed

The pennywort has an amazing ability to grow out of the pot. Many flower lovers have reported that the flowerpots at home are too small, so they can only use large tanks or large foam boxes to grow it. Even so, it still weighs more than ten pounds. It really grows so fast!

Reproduction and maintenance:

The pennywort is easy to grow. If you take one and grow it in water, it will grow into a bunch in a month. However, there is not much nutrition in the water. Huahua suggests growing it with fish. The fish’s bath water is the best fertilizer for it!

The pennywort tends to grow wild, so you can shave its head frequently so that it will grow out of the pot faster, grow evenly, and look more beautiful!
