Difference Between Begonia and Begonia

Difference 1: Attributes and height

Begonia: It is a perennial herb with a stem height of only 60 cm. The stem height of its variant Begonia is only 70 cm.

Begonia: It is a shrub or tree, its height can reach 7 meters, and other types of crabapples can grow up to 8 meters. This is about 10 times different from Begonia.

Difference 2: Form

Begonia: The branches and stems of this plant and its varieties are like leaf stalks, easy to break, and contain abundant water. Most of them are green, and a few are brown, but the pedicels are generally pink, following the color of the flowers.

Begonia: The branches and stems of this plant and other species are like tree branches, mostly dark gray and very hard. This one is completely different from the Begonia.

Difference 3: Flowering and fruiting period

Begonia: Its flowering period is generally July, and its fruiting period is August. Its variant begonia blooms in September and its fruiting period is October.

Begonia: Its flowering period is April, and its fruiting period is from September to October. Other species bloom from April to May and bear fruit from August to September. This is far from the flowering period of begonia.

Difference 4: Value

Begonia: It can be placed in potted form indoors to embellish the environment, or it can be planted directly on the sides of roadsides, in flower beds and courtyards, and it also has certain medicinal effects.

Begonia: can be used to make bonsai. And crabapple is rich in nutrients, so it is also one of the plants that people eat. The seeds are also edible and can be used to make soap.
