Is Kalanchoe poisonous? How to grow it indoors?

Is Kalanchoe poisonous? How to grow it indoors?

1. Is it poisonous to keep it indoors?

This type of plant is non-toxic indoors. Not only can it absorb harmful gases left over from room decoration, purify the air and protect the environment, it can also beautify the environment and regulate mood. Although some flowers and plants are indeed poisonous, such as the weeping angel, there will be no problem if you don't eat them or touch them intentionally.

Another thing to note is that no matter what kind of flowers and plants you keep indoors, you should not grow too many of them, because the plants will secrete liquids to attract insects and affect the indoor environment.

2. How to raise it indoors

1. Temperature: The suitable growth temperature for this type of plant is 20℃-28℃. Avoid exceeding 30℃ during the day and not lower than 18℃ at night. Too high or too low temperature will inhibit the normal growth of the plant itself. When the temperature is lower than 8℃, it will affect the flowering period and cause it to be delayed.

2. Light: Provide appropriate shade in the hot summer, but insufficient light can easily cause the plant to grow too tall, the branches to be slender, and the leaves to be thin and small, which will affect the differentiation of flower buds and reduce the number of flowers.

3. Watering: Kalanchoe is a succulent plant and does not like a humid environment, so it does not need too much water. It is best to water it before noon, but the leaves should be kept dry as much as possible.

4. Soil: Sandy soil, a mixture of humus and coarse sand is most suitable, with a ratio of 2:2:1, and add appropriate organic fertilizer to increase nutrition. When planting, lay tiles on the bottom.
