What happens if you eat too many almonds?

What happens if you eat too many almonds?

1. Poisoning

Almonds contain a small amount of the toxic substance hydrocyanic acid, so eating too much may cause poisoning and endanger your health. Generally, what we eat in our daily lives are mostly cultivated sweet almonds. Wild bitter almonds are dozens of times more toxic than sweet almonds. Eating too much bitter almonds can cause poisoning, which can manifest as dizziness, nausea, palpitations, rapid breathing, weak pulse, etc. If this happens, seek medical attention immediately, otherwise you may die from nursing failure.

2. Indigestion

Almonds contain a lot of fat. Eating too much will cause symptoms of indigestion and nausea and vomiting. You can use some stomach medicine or drugs that promote digestion, such as mosapride. The daily intake of almonds should not exceed 12g. If symptoms of poisoning occur, seek medical attention immediately to prevent danger.

3. Cause diarrhea

People with weak stomachs should pay more attention to the amount of consumption and try to eat less almonds. The fatty acids in almonds may cause diarrhea in infants or weak people. If related symptoms occur, you can drink plum juice to detoxify.
