Pharmacological effects of sea red beans

The extract of sea red bean has a strong inhibitory effect on the protease and trypsin in the rabbit pancreas, and on the trypsin, chymotrypsin and total protease activity of the human pancreas, but the inhibitory effect on bovine protease is relatively weak.
