Why does the gardenia drop its leaves?

Why does the gardenia drop its leaves?

1. Reasons for leaf fall

1. There is not enough moisture in the air and the humidity is too low.

2. There is too much water in the pot and the roots of the tree are rotten. Although it likes water, if you water it too much, the air in the soil will become less, the roots will be damaged, and the leaves will fall off, so you must be careful during watering.

3. Lack of light for a long time. Gardenia likes the sun and can be placed indoors occasionally, but if it does not see the sun for a long time, it will not be able to photosynthesize and its leaves will fall off, so it should be placed in a sunny area often to bask in the sun.

4. A small amount of bad impurities such as gas are mixed into the air in the room. The air in the house is not fresh enough, which affects its normal breathing.

5. The tree was blown by strong winds for a long time during transportation, and the whole tree was chilled.

6. The soil for growing flowers lacks nutrients. At this time, the tree needs a lot of nutrients to transport to the leaves and flowers, but if the soil for planting flowers is relatively poor and lacks nutrients, it will be difficult for it to absorb enough nutrients from the soil. The leaves and flower buds will not get enough nutrients and will fall off.

7. Burned by the sun. Although this flower likes light, it cannot be directly exposed to strong light. In summer, it only needs to be exposed to sunlight in the morning and evening. Too strong light will cause the leaves to fall off.

2. Treatment Plan

1. If the tree has not lost many leaves and the situation is not too serious, you can first place it in an environment that is suitable in all aspects, take good care of it, and wait for it to recover.

2. If the tree has lost a lot of leaves, don't wait for the leaves to fall slowly, as this will waste nutrients. It is better to cut off the branches directly and keep the main branches. At this time, the nutrients it consumes will decrease and its growth will stop. Then place it in a windy and sunny place at home, spray it with a small amount of water, and do not add fertilizer. New branches will grow soon.
