Disease and insect pest control of honeysuckle

Leaf swell

Before the disease occurs, you can spray 1:1:200 Bordeaux mixture on the plant, and any diseased leaves must be dealt with immediately. Before germination, you can use Bordeaux mixture or Baume lime sulfur mixture to prevent it. Generally speaking, it should be sprayed once every 7 to 10 days, and two or three times will be enough. If the disease has already occurred, you need to spray the plants with Baume lime sulfur mixture or 65% to 80% mancozeb, also once every 7 to 10 days, about three or four times will be enough.

Crowned web bug

This disease is generally manifested by many insects sucking juice from the back of the leaves, resulting in the appearance of black sticky substances. Once damaged, the leaves will turn from green to white, fall off, or even stop blooming. The specific solution is to clean up the weeds and fallen leaves around the flower pots in winter and apply white paint on the main trunk. You can also use 1000 to 1500 times diluted 40% oxydemeton-methyl for spraying. Generally, use it once every 10 to 15 days, and two or three times will be enough.

Root rot

When this disease occurs, the roots of the plant will rot and peel off, the wood will turn black, the bark will turn white, etc., and it will gradually spread and die. The measures that need to be taken are that since this pathogen has very strong survival ability, once the plant is infected and dies, the dead plant and potting soil must be disposed of in time.

Red Spider

If the plants are harmed by red spider mites, they need to be sprayed with 1000 times diluted 10% Emperor Star emulsion or 3000 times diluted insecticide to kill the insects.
