Causes and treatments for yellowing leaves on branches and trunks

Causes and treatments for yellowing leaves on branches and trunks

1. The temperature is too low

Reason: The growing environment of the branch apricot should be warm and suitable, and the temperature needs to be controlled at around 15-25 degrees Celsius. Therefore, if the temperature is too low in winter and you do not pay attention to keeping it warm, it will be frostbitten, causing the leaves to turn yellow.

Measures: When the temperature is too low in winter, temperature control is required. It can be moved indoors and the temperature needs to be above ten degrees.

2. Overwatering

Reason: Only moderate watering is required for the branches and trunks of the apricot plant. If you overwater, water will accumulate in the soil, causing flooding. The roots will gradually rot and the leaves will gradually turn yellow.

Measures: When watering too much, it is necessary to drain the water in time. If the situation is serious, it is necessary to remove the pot, cut off the rotten roots, and then replant the soil. During normal maintenance, just water it if the branches and leaves are a little shriveled.

3. Insufficient lighting

Reason: The branched apricot is suitable for growing in sunny and warm places. If the temperature is too low in winter and it is moved indoors, its leaves will turn yellow because it cannot be exposed to light.

Measures: When it is cold in winter, you can move it to a sunny place indoors for maintenance. You can also move it to a place outdoors where the sunlight is milder and warmer, and be careful to protect it from wind. Although there is plenty of sunlight in the summer, you should be careful to avoid direct sunlight.

4. Improper fertilization

Reason: The branch apricot needs sufficient nutrients during its growth period. Insufficient nutrients will hinder its growth and cause the leaves to gradually turn yellow. If too much fertilizer is applied, the plants may be easily burned and yellow leaves may occur.

Measures: If the fertilizer is not enough, it is necessary to add fertilizer in time. You can apply some diluted foliar fertilizer. If you apply too much fertilizer, you need to water to dilute the fertilizer, or dig out the roots, rinse them and replant them.
