How to grow cilantro (planting method and time)

1. Planting time

Planting is usually carried out in spring and autumn. Because the temperature in these two seasons can be stable between 15-20 degrees, neither too high nor too low, it is more conducive to rooting and growth, and the quality in the later period is also higher than that in other seasons, and it is also easier and more convenient to manage.

2. Planting Method

1. Seed selection and processing: It is recommended to choose small-leaf varieties when selecting seeds because they have a stronger fragrance. And be sure to choose those with full, fresh and healthy grains. After selecting, poke off the skin and soak it in clean water. The seeds will swell after about 24 hours and can be taken out directly.

2. Deeply plow the soil: Before planting, you must first deeply plow the land to ensure that the soil is loose, and also sprinkle some farmyard manure in moderation to make the nutrients more sufficient.

3. Direct sowing: It can be sown after treatment. Simply sprinkle the prepared seeds evenly on top. After sowing, cover with a thin layer of soil and it will germinate in about a week.

4. Timely emergence of seedlings: Thinning should be carried out after germination. Remove the seeds that are too densely spread and ensure that the distance between two plants is more than one centimeter. Pay attention to the time of thinning out the seedlings. Don't do it too early. Wait until they grow bigger before processing them. This way, the seedlings will not be wasted and can be eaten directly.

5. Post-management: After the seedlings appear, nutrients should be supplemented in time and nitrogen fertilizer should be applied in an appropriate amount. It is best to do it at the same time as watering. In addition, weeding must be done in a timely manner, otherwise it will compete for nutrients and be detrimental to the growth of seedlings.
