How to make Amaryllis bulbs bigger

1. Fertile soil

If you want the bulb to grow bigger, you must first choose the right soil. Use soil that is air-permeable, loose and fertile. You can mix leaf mold and granular soil in half, or you can mix humus and sandy soil, so that both can ensure air permeability and nutrients.

2. Sufficient light

It likes light and should be placed in a light place during maintenance. Not only will the flowers bloom more beautifully, but it will also be beneficial to the growth of the bulbs. Note that the daily sunlight time should be more than eight hours, but avoid the strong sunlight in summer to avoid sunburn.

3. Appropriate amount of water and fertilizer

The amount of water should be controlled during maintenance. Too much or too little water will affect growth. Water when the soil is dry and water when it is wet, usually replenish water once every three days. When watering, pay attention to watering slowly along the edge of the pot to allow the soil to better lock in water. In addition, fertilizer and nutrients should be added. Fertilize once every half month in spring and autumn. Be careful not to make the concentration too high. Only when the nutrients are sufficient can the tubers grow bigger.

4. Proper pruning

When maintaining the plant, it is also necessary to prune it in time. Note that you only need to cut off the yellow leaves and dead leaves to save nutrient consumption. Generally speaking, the more leaves grow, the more nutrients are accumulated, which is more conducive to the growth of bulbs.
