How to keep baby's breath in winter

How to keep baby's breath in winter

1. Ensure the temperature

The temperature suitable for the growth of baby's breath is about 25℃. The temperature for breeding in winter should not be too low. It is best to control the temperature of the breeding environment above 10℃. If the temperature is too low, the plant will temporarily go dormant. If the temperature cannot reach a suitable temperature, you can wrap it in a plastic bag to keep it warm.

2. Control watering

In winter, its growth rate will slow down, so the amount of watering should be controlled. It should not be the same as the amount of watering during the growth period, but should be reduced appropriately. If the temperature drops rapidly, you can water the plant once every half a month or so. If the weather is too cold, or it is raining or snowing, you need to stop watering.

3. All-day light

Because the sunlight in this season is relatively weak, the plants will not be sunburned even if they are exposed to sunlight all day. There is no need to block the sunlight, and receiving sufficient light every day is beneficial for it to survive the winter. However, when it is exposed to sunlight, it should be placed indoors and not exposed to the cold wind outdoors.

IV. Precautions

The temperature outside will be relatively low, so it is the correct approach to move the plants indoors in time after winter. But be careful not to place it in a place close to heating facilities such as heaters and coal stoves, as this may easily cause the baby's breath to wither and die.
