What fertilizer can make tea trees grow faster?

When fertilizing tea trees, you need to dig fertilizer ditches on the sides of the tea trees. In addition to the different selection of fertilizers at different times, you should also pay attention to the method of fertilization. In late winter and early spring, tea trees are generally topdressed. As the tea trees grow, urea can be added to the fertilizer to promote their growth. Fertilizing the tea trees should be stopped half a month before picking.

Fertilizer for tea trees

When tea trees are growing, you should choose suitable fertilizers, which is the basis for increasing the per-acre yield of tea trees. There are three types of fertilizers suitable for use, namely compound fertilizer, spring tea fertilizer, and summer and autumn fertilizer. Compound fertilizer is usually used during the growth period of tea trees, spring tea fertilizer is generally used for topdressing, and summer and autumn fertilizer is mainly used for adult tea trees. It is best not to use it on tea trees in the seedling stage.

1. Fertilize according to tree age

Young tea trees are mainly used to cultivate the skeleton and promote the growth of the root system, mainly with nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizers, and potassium fertilizers as a supplement. The vegetative growth and reproductive growth of mature tea trees are very vigorous, and it is necessary to focus on supplementing nitrogen fertilizers to inhibit reproductive growth. To rejuvenate aging tea trees, it is necessary to apply nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium in combination.

2. Fertilization principles

Tea trees should be fertilized mainly with organic fertilizer and supplemented with chemical fertilizer. It is not advisable to apply excessive chemical fertilizers, otherwise it will easily lead to deterioration of soil structure. Since tea trees like nitrogen, the ratio of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fertilizers should be biased towards the application of nitrogen fertilizers.

3. Fertilization time

The time for fertilization should be determined according to the different growth stages of the tea trees and the absorption of fertilizers at each stage. Nitrogen fertilizer can be applied from April to November. If you want to pursue better results, you can further refine it. In April-July, in addition to the nitrogen fertilizer mentioned earlier, you can also choose phosphorus fertilizer. In August, it is best to choose potassium fertilizer. Note that you cannot always use the same fertilizer, you need to maintain a fertilizer balance.

4. Foliar fertilization

Foliar fertilizer is what we usually call foliar fertilizer. It has the characteristics of quick effect and small dosage. It can quickly replenish nutrients for tea trees. It is especially suitable for tea gardens affected by frost damage and waterlogging. When spraying, spray both sides of the leaves. The best effect is achieved after 4 pm on a cloudy day.

Tea tree fertilization method

Top dressing should be applied three times 30 days before picking spring tea, which is from early May to mid-to-late July. The amount of base fertilizer applied is determined according to the growth stage of the tea trees, rainfall, and picking. A high-yield tea garden can apply 30 kg of urea per mu, and fertilizer is also applied once after each tea picking. For tea gardens in the seedling stage, about 10 kg of urea per mu should be applied. Do not apply fertilizer after rain or before the dew has dried to prevent fertilizer damage.
