How to make soybeans germinate quickly

Soybean germination environment

When soybean pods mature, they burst under the sun and eject the seeds. During the rainy season, the seeds can be spread.

1. Temperature and light: Soybeans prefer an environment with plenty of sunlight. The suitable temperature for seed germination is 10-12℃, 15-20℃ is the most suitable, the suitable temperature for growth is 20-25℃, and the suitable temperature for growth during the flowering and podding period is 20-28℃. It cannot bloom if the temperature is lower than 14℃, and the plant will die if the temperature is too high.

2. Water and humidity: Soybeans prefer a humid environment. Seed germination requires more water. The soil moisture content must be around 75% during the flowering period, otherwise the flower buds will fall off. Soybeans require less fertilizer before flowering, but more fertilizer during the flowering and podding period, which accounts for more than 80% of the total fertilizer absorption.

Soybean germination process

The growth process of soybeans is mainly divided into four steps: sowing, germination, emergence, and leafing. First, the germinated soybeans are sown in moist soil. The appearance of the seeds will become lighter and the seed coat will crack slightly. After about two days, light yellow sprouts will grow from the seed coat. After another five days, the soybeans will grow symmetrical leaves.

Direct planting of soybean seeds

If soybeans are planted in the soil and provided with a suitable growing environment, they will germinate in about 4-6 days. Soybeans are usually sown in spring, and can also be planted in summer and autumn if the environment is suitable.

Soybean seed germination

First, select plump and strong seeds, pick out broken and worm-eaten seeds, then soak the seeds in tap water for more than 12 hours, preferably not more than 24 hours. You can wash them twice in the middle. After germination, they will germinate soon.

Soybean germination planting method

1. If you want the soybeans to germinate smoothly, it is not recommended to choose genetically modified soybeans. It is better to buy non-genetically modified soybeans in the supermarket.

2. Put the soybeans into a container, and then pour water into the container. The water should just cover the soybeans. Do not pour too much water.

3. After completing the previous step, let the soybeans sit for about five to eight hours, then pour out all the water in the container that has been used to soak the soybeans.

4. At this time, you will find that the soybeans have obviously become larger after soaking. Pick out the broken soybeans and proceed to the next step.

5. Then cover the container with a layer of thin, water-permeable cloth. Don’t cover it too thickly so that it will be difficult to penetrate water, otherwise it will be difficult to proceed to the next step.

6. Then sprinkle water every day to make the thin cloth slightly moist. Generally, you can see the small soybeans begin to sprout and grow lushly in about three or four days.
