How to grow aloe vera well

1. Good matrix

If you want the plants to grow well, you must pay attention to the choice of substrate when you first plant them. It is best to have a fertile soil with good fertilizer retention properties. It should also be well-drained, loose and not easy to become compacted. You can choose garden soil and mix some ash, grass ash, etc. into it to improve its air permeability. Loosen the soil regularly to a depth of about one to two centimeters.

2. Suitable temperature

For the plants to grow well, they must be in the most suitable temperature. The specific range is fifteen to twenty-five degrees. It should not be too high or too low, and the temperature difference between day and night should not be too large.

3. Adequate lighting

Mainly pay attention to the placement of the plant, make sure it is not too dark. Except for extremely strong light in summer, shade is generally not required.

4. Sufficient water

Good plant growth is closely related to water. Keeping the soil moist without stagnant water is a top priority. Secondly, pay attention to the watering method. Pour the water slowly along the edge of the pot and don't use too much force. Otherwise, the soil may become clumping, affecting air permeability and hindering plant growth.

5. Adequate fertilizer

Sometimes the nutrients in the soil alone are not enough and fertilizer is needed. Generally, compound fertilizer can be used. The frequency of application depends on the specific growth trend, but the concentration should not be too high.

6. Prune at the right time

When the sprouts just start to grow, you can cut off the lower part. If there are too many leaves, the excess ones need to be cut off.

7. Pest and disease control

Pests and diseases will hinder the growth of plants and need to be controlled. For diseases such as brown spot disease, you can use diluted solution of Haoshengling. For pests such as red spider mites, you can use imidacloprid solution.
