How to propagate the bright grass

How to propagate the bright grass

Seeding propagation of Huanliang grass

The sowing of bright grass can be carried out in spring or autumn, but autumn is the most suitable time.

First of all, you should use the direct sowing method when sowing, and sow the seeds directly into the prepared potting soil. The seeds will germinate and grow about 2 weeks after sowing.

Secondly, it is the transplantation of the growing seedlings. The seedlings should be transplanted with the soil ball when two true leaves have grown out. First transplant them in small pots and wait until. After the seedlings grow up, change the pots again and apply dry manure as base fertilizer. Note that you should also apply 5000PPM of paclobutrazol once a month to prevent the plants from growing too tall and lacking nutrition, which would limit flowering.

Finally, apply fertilizer once every half a month during the growth and flowering period, and keep the soil moist during the flowering period to extend the flowering period. When watering, just make sure the soil in the pot is moist.

Cutting propagation of Huanliang grass

First, choose the cuttings, select disease-free, strong branches, cut them, and then insert them directly into the prepared soil.

Secondly, before winter comes, put the plants in a cold bed or cold room to overwinter, pay attention to cold and frost prevention, and wait until the second year to transplant them. When transplanting, ensure the environmental temperature is warm to prevent frostbite.

The last step is transplantation. It should be done when the plant has 4 true leaves and then it can be transplanted into a larger pot.

Apply nitrogen fertilizer before flowering to ensure the nutrients needed for flowering. Apply phosphorus and potassium fertilizers when flowering begins, and pay attention to preventing lodging.

The above is the reproduction method of the bright grass. You can try it to make your bright grass grow and reproduce more.
