Cultivation method of narrow-leaved dragon blood tree

1. Soil

Narrow-leaved Dracaena is suitable for cultivation in loose sandy soil or culture soil, but is not suitable for cultivation in poorly drained, saline-alkali and barren soil. Do not crop continuously, otherwise it will lead to variety degeneration.

2. Temperature

A warm environment is suitable for its growth. The temperature between 20-30℃ is the most suitable for its growth and the highest health. The breeding temperature during winter should not be lower than 5℃.

3. Fertilization

Attention should be paid to timely fertilization during the growth period. You can place a layer of ripe and rotten branches and fallen leaves underneath it, or apply solid compound fertilizer and spread it on the soil every two months to increase its nutrition and necessary ingredients.

4. Watering

A humid environment is conducive to its growth and the health of its stems and leaves, and the surrounding air should be kept moist. The frequency of watering should be reduced during winter, and watering once a week or so is sufficient. Avoid standing water to prevent root rot.

5. Pruning

It has a certain ornamental value and is very resistant to trimming and pruning. It can be trimmed into the desired shape according to needs and preferences.

6. Lighting

It can grow in both the shady and sunny sides. But in comparison, it grows better in places with sufficient sunlight. During the hottest period of summer, you should shade yourself from the sun and avoid prolonged direct sunlight.

Attention should be paid to pest control. You can spray pesticides regularly in spring and autumn or take isolation measures to protect the plants.
