Snowdrop cultivation methods and precautions

How to grow snowdrops

Light and temperature

Snowdrop does not require much light, has a certain degree of shade tolerance, and can grow in both sunny and semi-shaded places. However, in spring, autumn and winter, it needs to be exposed to direct sunlight frequently and get sufficient light, while in the hot summer, it needs appropriate shading to avoid affecting the growth of the snowdrop flower.

The suitable growth temperature for Snowdrop Flower is between 15℃ and 28℃. Snowdrop Flower likes coolness and is afraid of heat. It has difficulty in surviving the summer and lacks resistance to frost. If the temperature is lower than 10℃, the plant will go dormant.

humidity

The relative humidity of the air for snowdrop flowers to grow is best between 40 and 65%, and the environment should be slightly dry. The growing environment of Snowdrop Flower cannot be too humid. It is afraid of rain. If rainy weather lasts too long, it is easy to breed diseases and pests. Keeping the leaves of the snowdrop plant dry at night will be more conducive to its growth.

Water and fertilizer management

Snowdrops do not require much fertilizer or water. Basically, when planting, first apply a certain amount of base fertilizer, and then pay attention to applying fertilizer thinly and frequently during the growth period to ensure that all kinds of growth elements are complete. Do not apply too concentrated fertilizer, and do not let the snow drop flower lack certain elements, so as to avoid various problems in its growth.

Watering should also be controlled reasonably. Generally, there should be plenty of water when the weather is fine, and less watering or no watering on rainy days. In summer, the growth is slow, so water and fertilizer should be properly controlled, but appropriate spraying should be done when the temperature is high.

Reproduction method

Snowdrop is a bulbous plant. When it comes to reproduction, the main method used is dividing the bulbs.
