Lily Bamboo Cultivation Method: Temperature and Light

The most suitable growth temperature for lily bamboo is between 15 and 22 degrees Celsius. Lily bamboo likes light but avoids direct sunlight in summer. When caring for it at home, generally do not keep it too far from the window, except between 10 am to 5 pm in summer.

Lily Bamboo Cultivation Method: Soil Requirements

Mix 1 part each of nutrient soil for foliage plants, leaf mold and river sand. It is best to have a loose, fertile and well-drained soil.

Lily Bamboo Cultivation Method: Water and Fertilizer Management

Lily bamboo has a wide tolerance to water. When the surface of the potting soil is dry to a depth of 2-3 cm, it must be watered thoroughly. Generally, watering should be carried out in accordance with the principle of alternating dry and wet. In order to ensure that the growing environment has sufficient air humidity, you can spray water every day. Lily bamboo does not have strict requirements on fertilizer. During the growing season from April to September, it can be fertilized once a month. When repotting, you can apply a certain amount of base fertilizer.

Things to note when growing lily bamboo

Lily bamboo generally needs to be repotted once every two years as it grows, which is done in March. From March to September each year, take 10 cm stem segments and carry out cutting propagation in water or a closed environment. Secondly, in order to make the plant grow vertically and evenly, please rotate the flower pot 1/4 turn regularly.
