How to plant and maintain plum blossoms, how to propagate

1. Planting method

It is best to choose autumn to plant plum blossoms. At this time, there is no need to process the seeds in a complicated way, and the germination rate is still very high. Usually, the seeds are picked after the fruit is ripe, but you can also buy better quality seeds. Prepare fertile soil with good air permeability and disinfect it for later use. Soak the seeds in warm water, then take them out and store them in sand for 15-20 days. Finally, plant the seeds and cover them with a 3cm layer of soil.

2. Maintenance methods

1. Sunlight: When caring for plum blossoms, you should choose a location with good light as much as possible. If the location where it is usually placed is very dark, its normal growth and flowering may be affected.

2. Water: The soil in the potting pot should not be too moist. When replenishing water daily, you should not water it unless it is dry. When watering, you should water it thoroughly. It should be sheltered from rain on rainy days, as water will easily accumulate after being exposed to rain.

3. Breeding Methods

1. Cutting: Choose thick branches with a length of 10-15cm, and the time should be chosen in spring and autumn. Prepare well-ventilated sandy loam, insert the paper strip into it to a depth of 1/2 or 1/3, and then water it thoroughly.

2. Layering: This method is suitable for small-scale propagation. In early spring, dig a trench next to the mother plant and select branches with good growth. Ring-bark the plant below its bend, then press it into the dug trench and cover it with soil. After it takes root, trim it and transplant it.
