How and when to plant white celery Cultivation and planting techniques of white celery

It is relatively simple to cultivate white celery. The plant likes soft and slightly sticky soil. The pH value of the soil should be around 6.5. Too acidic or too alkaline will affect the quality of the celery. The suitable temperature for growth is around 15-25℃.

White celery planting conditions

White celery is a new variety of celery that can be cultivated in most parts of China. It is heat-resistant and cold-resistant. To plant white celery, you need to choose a plot with sufficient sunlight but not exposed to the sun .

Celery planting time

White celery can be planted in spring and autumn . If it is sown in April, it needs to be covered with a layer of mulch after sowing, which is conducive to soil moisture retention. If it is planted in July, it should be transplanted in August. The temperature suitable for its germination is around 20℃. Don't plant it when the temperature exceeds 30℃.

High-yield planting method of white celery

1. Land preparation and fertilization

Before planting white celery, choose a piece of land with sufficient sunlight but not too strong to ensure that the soil has good fertility, drainage and moisture retention. Then till the land , apply well-rotted farmyard manure and superphosphate to ensure the subsequent nutrient needs of white celery.

2. Reasonable planting

First, put the white celery seeds into a bag and soak them in water for 2-3 days, changing the water once a day, and then take them out to dry. After the seedlings have grown, dig trenches in the plot and plant the seedlings evenly in the trenches. After planting, water them thoroughly and remove diseased seedlings in time.

3. Field management

Water the celery for the second time on the 10th to 15th day after planting, and apply carbon-based fertilizer. When the plant enters the growth period, nitrogen fertilizer is the main fertilizer. If weeds appear in the field, they should be removed immediately, and attention should be paid to the prevention and control of leaf spot disease. After the disease occurs, chlorothalonil should be evenly sprayed.
