Can a single orchid be kept alive? How to care for it?

1. Can a single orchid be kept alive?

Although it is much more difficult to keep a single orchid alive than orchids grown in groups, it is not to the point where it cannot be kept alive. As long as you use the right breeding methods, you can keep it alive and well.

2. How to care for a single orchid

1. Preparation of planting materials: When cultivating a single orchid, it is advisable to use planting materials that are sufficiently breathable and relatively moisturizing. Specifically, you can mix rotten bark, volcanic rock and sawdust to make planting materials for it.

2. Keep warm: When growing a single orchid, be sure to keep it warm. The temperature should be controlled at around 20℃ and should not be lower than 10℃ for a long time, otherwise it is likely to be frozen and unable to grow smoothly.

3. Scattered light: When breeding, be sure to avoid strong light. It is best to provide it with diffuse, soft light, which is more conducive to its growth and will not cause it to be sunburned.

4. Proper water control: Do not over-water during maintenance. It is best to wait until the planting material becomes dry before watering. In addition, if the air humidity is relatively low, you can increase the ambient humidity by spraying water. This is very good for its growth fluid.

5. Apply a thin layer of fertilizer: You can supplement its nutrition by applying fertilizer during maintenance. However, you must not apply concentrated fertilizers. You must dilute the fertilizer with water before each application. The frequency of fertilization should not be too high, 1-2 times a month is sufficient.

6. Keep ventilation: When raising it, you need to keep ventilation so that it can be exposed to more fresh air. This can help increase its growth, making it grow better and faster.
