Flamingo breeding methods and precautions

Flamingo breeding methods and precautions

1. Pot soil selection

When growing flamingos, you need to use a relatively breathable flower pot. Try not to use a highly transparent flower pot. You can use a peat pot. The soil requirements are that it should be breathable and water-retaining. You can use a mixture of peat soil, leaf mold and sand.

2. Temperature Control

A growing environment of around 18-30℃ should be created for it, and the temperature should not be too low. There is basically no need to control the temperature in spring and autumn, but the winter temperature should be above 15℃. If the temperature in summer is above 35℃, cooling work must be done.

3. Maintain humidity

Flamingo likes to grow in a relatively humid environment, so it is necessary to maintain sufficient humidity. Water should be replenished in time during the growth period. It can be irrigated with rainwater, or by spraying water to increase the humidity. When watering it, do not pour water on the flowers, and water less after autumn.

4. Reasonable fertilization

During its growth period, it needs to be fertilized regularly, 1-2 times a month, mainly nitrogen fertilizer, and it can also be applied in combination with phosphorus fertilizer. The temperature in summer and winter will be too high or too low, the plants will grow very slowly or even stop growing, so no fertilizer is needed in these two seasons.

5. Notes

It has good growth ability and grows very quickly, so you need to change the pot once every 1-2 years of cultivation. It is recommended that you repot the plant in spring, taking care not to damage its roots.
