Method of hydroponics of money tree cuttings

Method of hydroponics of money tree cuttings

1. Choose branches

If you want to increase the survival rate of money tree cuttings in hydroponics, you need to choose older, well-grown and sturdy branches. You can cut branches about 30 cm in length and cut off the leaves at the bottom, leaving only two to four leaves on the top. Then cut the cut obliquely into a ladder shape, which can increase the contact area between the cuttings and water and facilitate rooting.

2. Cutting Preparation

To promote rooting of cuttings, you can apply some rooting powder on the cut and place it in a ventilated place to dry. Then add an appropriate amount of water to the hydroponic container, about one-third of the depth of the container, not too much. Then place the cuttings directly into the container, being careful not to let the leaves of the cuttings get wet, as this will cause the leaves to rot.

3. Water culture

You can change the water every three days until the cuttings have taken root. After rooting, there is no need to change the water frequently, just add water to the container. When the temperature is relatively high, you can spray water on the leaves. Water can be natural rainwater, well water, purified water, etc. If you use tap water, you have to leave it for one day before use.

In addition, pay attention to controlling the temperature and keep it between sixteen and twenty-six degrees. In terms of lighting, you can place it in a bright, well-ventilated environment. As long as it has two or three hours of light a day, the hydroponic money tree does not have high requirements for light.

In addition, its need for nutrients cannot be ignored. You can add a few drops of dissolved vitamin C1 or nutrient solution to the water every month.
